The Aptos team is made up of a highly-accomplished team of engineers, researchers, strategists, designers, and builders—all committed to delivering universal and equitable access to decentralization that is capable of scaling for billions of people.

Much of the Aptos team is credited with developing the technical innovations that power the Aptos blockchain—including the original creators of the Move language, Move Prover, the BlockSTM parallel execution engine, and Narwhal and Bullshark consensus mechanisms.

Avery Ching

Avery Ching : I transferred to Punahou School in the middle of kindergarten and continued there throughout high school. After high school, I went to Evanston, Illinois to study computer engineering at Northwestern University. In order to pursue my research interests in parallel computing, I entered graduate school at Northwestern University under Professor Alok Choudhary. I defended my Ph.D in computing engineering on October 5th, 2007 and officially graduated in December 2007.

Mohammad Shaikh

Mo is a 3x founder and expert in going from 0-1 and scaling products. He has been invited to speak at the World Economic Forum at Davos to discuss innovation across sectors. Mo combines his knowledge of building products, fundraising, developing business strategy & scaling teams. He has over a decade of depth in capital markets, private equity, venture capital across US, EU and Middle East markets.

Gerardo Di Giacomo

Gerardo Di Giacomo : I've been working on internet security since 2002, but my personal interest in it started earlier. My main area of interest and experience is reactive and proactive product security, with focus on application security, response and bug bounties, secure architecture design, threat modeling, and applied cryptography, in a "purple team" fashion. I also matured experience in enterprise security and compliance.
